Immortal Voice Project Continued

Hello everyone, I am pleased with the response to the immortal voice project so far. I only need a few more people’s recordings to put together the first installment of the project. Submissions can be sent to findinghergone@gmail.com. Please be sure that the recordings are clean and reasonably clear of background noise. Most audio and video formats are acceptable and please limit it to 30 seconds. For more information refer back to my previous post on this subject

The Immortal Voice Project

Hello everyone, I have decided to start a project that is near and dear to my heart and I need your help. First, the reason behind the project. About five years ago I had my first experience with real loss. I am sure many of you have lost a loved one. For me, one of the most frightening moments in my life was when I suddenly realized not only did I lose someone that I cared about, but even though only a few months had passed, I could no longer remember the sound of their voice. I struggled to find the sound in my head, in my memories, desperate not to let go. How could I forget something that was such a big part of who they where? As I am sure you all know, the internet is a large place. Once something is put online, even if the original distributor takes it down, you will always be able to find it. Any number of drunken college girls can attest to that. I don’t want to ever forget a loved one’s voice after they are gone again, so I have decided to immortalize them by taking audio of them speaking, create something beautiful with it, and release it to the web for all the world to hear. That way  it can always be found. I want to help others by doing this as well but then we have the problem of how do we put a multitude of voices, all with something important to say together without it being boring. Using all of these voices I have decided that the most interesting way to immortalize them online would be to make them into music. The real challenge will be getting people involved and excited about it. This is where all of you come in. In order to get this project started I need people who want to be heard and want to be heard forever. If you want your voice to be a part of the project please send a recording of you saying your name and what you think defines you as an individual to findinghergone@gmail.com How do you want to be known? what do you want people to remember you by? Each voice is powerful and unique, once it is gone, the world has truly lost something special. You don’t have to use your full name or even your real name as long as the audio is clear and you and the people who love you can recognize you by the recording. If you like this idea please share it with others by directing them to this post. I think that we have an opportunity to do something really special.
